Cary Franklin Poole

The son of a railroader, Cary Poole has been a railfan for much of his life. He enjoys model railroading in N Scale and doing 35 mm and medium format railroad photography. Currently working on a book on Railtex, he is also researching the Kansas City, Mexico & Orient Railroad. While associate dean of students at Mars Hill College, Poole taught over a dozen sessions of “Whistlestops in Western North Carolina” for the school’s Elderhostel program. He now lives with his wife in San Angelo, Texas.
