A History of Washington County, Tennessee, a bicentennial project, will provide readers an overview of the long and often colorful past of Tennessee’s oldest county. This comprehensive county history will be approximately 800 pages with over one hundred photographs. It will include over thirty major chapters, as well as dozens of community histories, religious denominations, clubs and organizations, museums, visitor centers and recreational sites, and over one hundred notable people.
