James A. Crutchfield

A seventh-generation Nashvillian, James A. Crutchfield attended Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee. He served in t he United States Army and the Tennessee National Guard during 1961-1965 and has worked in the corporate world as a computer systems designer, long-range planner, and analyst. A former president of the Williamson County Historical Society, he has been a member of the board of directors of the Tennessee Historical Society and has written for the Tennessee Historical Quarterly.. He has also written for numerous other publications, including We Proceed On, the official magazine of the Lewis and Clark Heritage Trail Foundation.
