Francie Hall and Kent Oehm

Francie Hall has experienced life from A to Z beginning with being declared by Pageant Magazine as the World's Youngest Disc Jockey at age ten when she scripted and performed her own weekly radio show. At age twelve, Francie visited schools in thirteen European countries , wrote articles for Junior Scholastic and International New Service about her experiences, and appeared on the Today show. After graduating from California State University in Los Angeles with a degree in elementary education, she spent four years in Suriname, South America as a radio control operator for jungle aircraft. Later, she wrote and produced a weekly educational television program in Nairobi, Kenya where she lived for nine years.

More recently she has served twenty- two years as a public school teacher, administrator, and university supervisor of student teachers at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. Francie lives with her husband, a professor and attorney, in Valle Crucis, North Carolina.

Kent Oehm is a long-time art instructor who lives outside of Asheville, North Carolina.
